Not Yo’ Nachos: A Fun Family Night of Masks, Movies, and Nachos
If you are looking for a hilarious, creative, and totally low pressure family night, this one is a winner. It combines crafts, costumes, a classic family comedy, and the most epic nacho tower your kids have ever seen. Introducing…
Not Yo’ Nachos Night.
This activity is cheap, fun for all ages, and the memories last way longer than the nachos do.
Step One: Make Your Own Luchador Mask

Everyone knows that wrestlers in bright colourful masks are the coolest. Set up a simple craft station on your table using:
• Construction paper
• Felt
• Elastic string
• Glue sticks
• Scissors
• Markers
• Any sparkly craft supplies you have on hand
Let each person design their own ultimate wrestler mask. Kids get creative fast when they know they get to wear their design for the rest of the night.
Make it fun. Give your wrestler alter ego a name like:
• The Flying Burrito
• The Purple Panther
• Turbo Kid
• Nacho Knight
Half the fun is seeing what everyone comes up with.
Step Two: Build the Ultimate Nacho Meal

Now it is time for the most important part.
The nachos.
Go big on this one. The card suggests seven layers and honestly, that is the minimum for proper wrestler level nachos.
Layer ideas:
• Tortilla chips
• Cheese (lots of it)
• Ground beef or chicken
• Beans
• Corn
• Salsa
• Jalapenos
• Guacamole
• Sour cream
Stack it. Bake it. Admire it. Devour it.
This is called Not Yo’ Nachos for a reason.
Step Three: Movie Time – Nacho Libre

Once the masks are on and the nachos are ready, throw on Nacho Libre. It is silly, quotable, and it will have the whole family trying to imitate the characters.
Bonus activity:
See whose homemade mask looks most like one of the luchadores in the movie.
This becomes way funnier than you think.
Tips to Make the Night Even Better
• Light some candles to make it feel like a special night in
• Play upbeat music while everyone crafts
• Have a prize for “Best Mask” or “Most Creative Mask”
• Let kids serve the nachos like they are in a restaurant
